EMROD Awarded Top 10 and Domain Winner at SWITCH2023

In September 2023, EMROD proudly emerged as a Top 50 Global Startup Finalist at SLINGSHOT2023, Asia's most prestigious deep tech startup competition.

SLINGSHOT is a key highlight of the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH), the leading festival for startups and innovation in Asia, orchestrated by Enterprise Singapore. SWITCH is a vibrant confluence of over 150,000 tech enthusiasts, emerging startups, distributors, and trailblazing innovators. The 2023 event was hosted at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore, from October 31 to November 2.

Leading up to SWITCH2023's pivotal pitch competition, Rick Hodgson, EMROD's Strategy & Commercial Lead, joined the other Top 50 startups for an action packed three days, which included touring state-of-the-art R&D centres, honing pitch skills, and forging valuable connections with venture capitalists, as part of the esteemed SLINGSHOT2023 Startup Immersion program.

On 1st November 2023, Rick took the stage and delivered EMROD's pitch, landing a position in the Top 10 and being selected as a Domain Winner within the 'Environment, Energy & Green Technologies' category. With over 4,500 applications worldwide and an extremely high calibre of startups at the pitch event, achieving the Top 10 was no easy feat.
